Marina Rubican, Lanzarote/Las Palmas

We are back on line! Trip down from Dublin took 4.5hrs, we were glad to be off the plane. After something to eat, a quick beer with Claudia (for the boys!!) and a short nap we (Oliver and I) cast off from Marina Rubican at 0230hrs this morning. The distance to Las Palmas is 98nm’s on a direct routing of 248 degrees magnetic. We experienced some light traffic off the North West of Fuerteventura but it has been all quiet since. Sails are up and we were initially flying along with great wind between the islands. We are now in open water with 70nm’s to run and the wind has dropped right off. We are slightly concerned about the Amp draw from the batteries – that said we have the fridge running and the pc is also charging. We expect to arrive in Las Palmas around 17:00hrs this afternoon.

Looking forward to sunrise!
