An easier night last night with everyone getting some
quality sleep. Seas have dropped significantly however so has the wind. We have
been averaging about 5kts for the last 24hrs. We are now on a course of 258
magnetic which is moving us south. Incredibly we had to take collision
avoidance measures around 0400hrs when another ARC boat tacked across in front
of us. It was unclear if there was someone on deck. Apart from that, a quiet
night. There is little or no commercial traffic or fishing going on out here so
any lights we see are yachts.
Today we are having chicken curry which is currently
marinating in the corner – it may be the highlight of our day!. This will
represent our first full meal since departing due to poor conditions and lack
of appetite. Not much else to report – all quiet on the high seas,
with the ship handling well.
