This is the start of our web diaries for the ARC -
hope you all enjoy following our progress.
Well folks, Dave and Tony are now in Gran Canaria
making final preparations and consuming a few beers along the way. The weather
is good and everything is coming along well - even the water maker performed
without a murmur!
Today was the opening ceremony, with a procession
complete with brass band and flag bearers from every country participating -
even Cornwall!!
The procession was followed by a water fight in
dinghies (some very interesting costumes!), and a few beers to
follow.
Looking forward to the rest of the crew joining us
this week and the start on Sunday at
13.00.
