At sea off India, 1^st January 2017

Just saw in the New Year on the pool deck with a couple of thousand Germans and 400 plus crew.

I was a participant in a Thriller flashmob dance as part of the evening’s entertainment. Fortunately it was dark and nobody saw me stumbling around. Michael Jackson would be turning in his grave.

Before midnight, I got roped into cracking dozens of bottles of fizzy for the crew celebrations as I am also sort-of crew but without-portfolio. It was no trouble as I had some very leggy dancers helping.

Had a few drinks with the Kapitain und Offiziers and then there was the countdown to midnight, India time. This was followed by a laser show and fire-dancers. Good party.
