Title: Cala Port Roig (Ibiza)

We crossed from Javea to the south west point of Ibiza in calm seas with little or no wind.  This meant we were able to spot whales again in the distance and also a sunfish (which we nearly hit, not realising what it was).  We had a brief visit from 2 dolphins, which gambolled off the bow briefly, only to shoot off when we stopped admiring them (so vain!).  We had more visits from little birds too, one of which we were able to identify as a “sub-alpine warbler” for anyone who is interested in birds!  After quite a bit of mist during the day, the sun finally appeared and we finished the day in delicious warmth for late March.  We spent another delightful and still night on a buoy in a pretty bay.  We were amused to see that several of the new villas built on the cliffside had collapsed down the slope and subsided at odd angles – not a great advertisement for Spanish building techniques.
