We finally left our winter berth in Valencia on a grey, misty Sunday morning and motor sailed south in light winds for 9 hours.  The day was enlivened by sightings of a very large whale, with one or two more spouting in the distance.

We were also joined on deck for a spell by a fluffy little warbler which hardly looked robust enough for the conditions.  We picked up a buoy off Javea and spent a peaceful night there.   It was great to have a view again from the portholes after 6 months in a marina!
