We really have very little to report.  We’ve seen a few ships and one dolphin, neither being very chatty (although we did have to talk to one freighter about a course change to avoid meeting).  The winds continue to be very light and although they got to a just-about-sailable strength in the middle of the night, their direction meant putting the spinnaker pole up and deploying the big red gennaker, so we delayed that until it was light enough.  At which time, true to form, the winds got lighter again.  More to relieve the boredom of motoring than anything, we got the sails out anyway and drifted slowly in the right direction for 4 hours before we were becalmed.  The engine is back on again…

The only other thing of note is that the Duogen has yet another problem.  It was working so well, producing all the power we needed whilst we were sailing and the sun wasn’t out, but now it’s making graunching noises from inside and I fear the worst.

We have now done 555nm and have another 340 to go.  We continue to plough onwards and are making the right sort of progress to arrive in Ayamonte on Thursday the 25th, at this rate with nearly empty fuel tanks!
