On Friday we had another day’s motoring to the unspoiled island of Cuttyhunk (Indian for Land’s End apparently).  It is the last of the Elizabeth Islands which tail out from Cape Cod and a peaceful spot with great views over to Martha’s Vineyard from the highest point on the island (a gentle walk along a disused road).  Patsy and I paddled on the little beach en route back to the bay and we checked out the prices of the oysters at the well know “raw bar”.  Our Aussies declared them very expensive so it was back to the boat for another of Lindsay’s concoctions.  The only thing to spoil the tranquillity of the bay were the boats who insisted on running their generators all evening to power their big TVs.
