Title: Trizonia

It was only a short day today, motoring into the wind to break our journey westwards into smaller hops.  Our start was slightly delayed as the engine wouldn’t start: I’ve been waiting for the 10yr old starter battery to fail and today was the day.  Luckily we found a motorcycle shop in town that could replace it quickly, so €100 poorer and 2 hrs later, we got going again.

We’ve come to another delightful little spot, a small island off the north coast of the Gulf of Corinth, with a surprisingly large “marina”.  As is mostly the case in Greece all the structures are in place but no services.  The place is quite full of boats who clearly have been here a long while.  One of them is under water and has been there obstructing a large part of the marina for 2 years apparently.  Must remember not to join it as we leave tomorrow!

We arrived early enough to go for a walk into the countryside.  It was gorgeous, full of wild flowers and broom, looking and smelling a bit like England in June, another reason to go cruising so early in the season!

Looking to the southern shore of the Gulf of Corinth.  The “marina” is tucked away bottom left.

Our countryside walk – not the Greece you usually picture.
