We woke again to calm, and howling monkeys, we had a school session this morning for the boys, and then picked up anchor and went a whole 3.6 nM to the next island Isla Muertos, which is a mile off the mainland we anchored in between the two. Water is calm, and again the monkeys howl to welcome us. There was meant to be a resport for sport fishing here that we were going to use for laundry but it has closed down, pity we will have to try the next place down the line.
The island use to be a grave yard and has a lot of history it is a private island but we are hoping to get ashore. Next to us is a beach for the boys, needed to burn off Halloween chocolate energy.
Sailing here was short but again we rounded 4 small islands with birds and green wooded tops, very picturesss. It looks like we will be in this area for 7 to 8 days as the weather outside is ugly on the wave front, and the first break is in 7 days, just more time to explore more of these islands.
We had to do an an early celebration of Sean's birthday to use up the cake as it was in freezer and cannot keep to his real birthday next week, which we will be underway for, he didn't mind as we had the other boats over and he got presents and chance to blow out candles.
I was hoping for a shower to fill the tanks but it is active but not coming over us. We are right on the edge of the wet/ dry season, we getting the odd shower, 2 weeks ago here it was raining all the time, you can see it in the water with logs and branches floating past with the wash down the rivers.
