A frustrating sail and motorsail from Sardinia with the wind capricious and often just sufficiently

different from the forecast to make it impossible to sail in the right direction! Eventually we made

landfall on Formentura, a small, very attractive island just south of Ibiza. We will spend the night

here to let a predicted strong SW blow through and set off for Gibraltar, 380nm away, tomorrow.
