We had our first gale last night, force 8 with
gusts of over 40kts (max was 45!) Big waves too, one of which blew out a
plastic window in the spray hood, which resulted in water coming in through the
hatch, despite it being locked.
We all came down below last night to sit out the
storm, and stayed down today. The wind has dies down a bit, only F7.
It is ver cosy below, and every now and then I have a look out side, where
there are huge seas, and still lots of wind. The boat is coping really
well! Rich unfortunately not so well, he was sick yesterday, so has been
confined to bed!
Unfortunately the wind is in the wrong direction,
so progressis still slow.
