Another hot and sunny morning: The impatient dinghy rushed us to Customs and
Immigration and we underwent the hour and a half clearing in process. The
initial threat of handcuffs as all four had come ashore, not just the two as
required by local regulations, was taken lightly: A young French man was
later met who had anchored for two days before clearing in and was jailed
for four days without food.

We then had a look around Nelson's Dockyard buildings, now busy with cruise
ship passengers, transforming the deserted area into a bustling village,
complete with tour guides. It was especially poignant, as Stuart would
have loved the site - he was very interested in naval history, and the
restored museum was full of artefacts from Nelson's era up to the present
day. Many of the original buildings had their historical information on
presentation boards which gave further insight into the organisation of the
dockyard.

We had showers, cheap until we realised the price was in US not Caribbean
dollars and cold, which we found just right in the heat. Our bread supply
was topped up by the local bakery, and we caught up on some emails with wi-fi at a local cafe.

Everything suddenly shut at 3.30 pm making the place deserted again, so back
to Finnrose for our evening meal. It is out of season here, too hot and the
hurricane risk increasing.
