position 39:34N 18:06E On passage between Santa
Maria di Leucha and Capo Rizzuto.190 n miles in the first 24 hrs and 240 n miles
to Siracusa in Sicily.
Spent 4 days in Monte Negro and saw most of Monte
Negro renting a car for 3 days. We drove to Dubrovnik in Croatia and walked
round the walls of the old town. We met up with Daniel Walker who has lived in
Kotor for six years and spent a day driving round the Fiord sightseeing and
looking at his various property developments.The last day Daniel gave us
directions for a stunning tour up in the mountains.25 hairpin bends taking us to
Cetinje at 1324 metres.where there is a plateau famous for it's smoked ham.From
there back down to the coast and the city of Budva and a small resort called
Prznno to a delightful restaurant called Blanch for lunch. We travelled back
past the airport and to Porto Monte Negro where we met up with Rob Lythgo
who was staying on his Beneteau 50. We had a look at a Discovery 55 "Chance
Discovery" which is up for sale. Finally back to Kotor and Festina to return the
car, check out of Monte Negro and prepare for departure in the
morning.
