Spent the morning doing a few maintenance jobs - cleaned the waterline (very dirty!), sealed the mast where it was leaking through the the deck and pumped the dingy which had deflated due to the cold sea temperatures!
Marta and Maciek meantime went for a long (5 hour) hike and Nick (after doing the jobs) went for a short (1 hour) hike. The weather is still unbelievable for Alaska. It hasn't rained for a week and the sun is shining. In fact the weather forcast instead of fog promised smoke for the next few days caused by forrest fires in Canada!
1400 hrs we said goodbye to Glacier Bay and headed south to Elfin Cove.Humpback Whales all around, one that came close enough to the boat to hand feed! We arrived in Elfin Cove - a delightful fishing village - with boardwalks all round the inner and outer harbours. and fishing boats everywhere full of salmon and huge halibut.
