Mor Toad is back here for the third time with just David and I on board. We left Deshaies earlier today and motored down here. The others returned from here yesterday Saturday having spent a couple of nights here on their way back from Les Saintes. Dan did a dive - his first for 15 years which he thought was brilliant and the others plenty of snorkelling with lots of turtles around. Alex has now decided she would like to learn to dive but only in warmer waters. They all had a good time in Les Saintes too so a successful week and now they are ashore in a cottage in the SE corner of the eastern wing of Guadeloupe having travelled there by bus on Saturday lunchtime. They will return at the end of the week to Deshaies and the other grandparents return to the UK. In the meantime we shall spend a few days here perhaps get a dive in too as well as snorkelling but as I write it is blowing another hooley and a very rolly anchorage and a huge elegant yacht 161ft. has just anchored behind us as the sun goes down. We are not sure what is happening ashore but there is the sound of frenzied drumming coming across the water - sounds like another Mardi Gras but maybe it is one of the Caribbean 'Jump Ups' which we have yet to experience.
