Sail repair completed and we set off for Tobermory in the grey drizzle and winds of around 18 knots.  The mainsail would not exit the mast without unnecessary persuasion, so after three attempts in differing configurations and one eye on the western shores of Kerrera, twice dropping the sail on deck to adjust the battens, we reluctantly returned to our mooring.  Conclusion: the repairs have now made the sail too fat to pass through the slot in the mast.
