In continuing greyness and drizzle we departed Loch Drumbuie this morning and made our way round into Loch Sunart under power and penetrated as far as the small village of Salen, where we picked up a Visitors Buoy and decided to brave the rain and venture ashore.
Good decision: the friendly owner-manager gave us some good directions for a walk to a local viewpoint and, apart from it being pretty wet underfoot, we had an invigorating route march up the hill and down again.  Back onboard for a lazy afternoon and then, beset with guilt, we ventured ashore again around 1700 and walked through an ancient oak forest to a viewpoint at the entrance to the harbour.  On the way back to the boat, a short fluid replenishment at the Salen Hotel turned into a fine scallop-based supper – and still back onboard in daylight!
