The EJ's Voyage

At sea again at last! All the work done on the boat except the new fridge which has not been installed. Long sad story...We re commissioned the old one having found a great guy who came like a flash to re gas it and it is working fine. Fingers crossed it will not let us down in the future.
So having got our ship papers back from Custom we had 48 hrs to leave and so we did! The only problem is that we therefore never had a chance to say goodbye to our friend Sarah. I am sure she will hate me forever now... :-)
Good to be at sea again even if the trip wasn't very long as we are now in a marina in Miami. We thought it would be fun to stop here as we never came by boat.
Good sailing South east winds at 15kts so we had a good fetch, averaging 7 kts. A bit overcast but warm.
Saw loads of our friends the pelicans and 2 dolphins.
Attached some photos of the New River in Ft Lauderdale which we were on from the yard until almost out at sea. Very pretty. Also some photos of our arrival in Miami and some extraordinary ones of a container ships with his containers crushed. Don't know what happened there but that is serious!
early start for us tomorrow morning, 6 o'clock, and will probably anchor off at Marathon Island to break down the journey to Key West.
More soon
Love
Catherinex and Mike
