The EJ's Voyage

FALBALA is out of the water and we had a very busy day again today. Mike turned into a little smurf whilst sanding the hull. Extremely hard and dirty work not facilated by the heat. Photos attached to prove it! I painted the depth marks of the anchor chain and sanded the shaft and propeller so they are now ready for a new coat of that special stuff that prevents the build up of barnacles. Fiddly job. So now we had a good long shower (eventhough the shower facilities in the yard are abismal to say the least!) and we sit in the very comfortable Captain's lounge with a well deserved Gin & Tonic!
You wouldn't believe the amount of megayachts that are lying here in the yard! Dozen of them. And it is the cruising season as well, they should be out on the water!
The weather was nice and hot again today but breezy.
We are almost sure now that we will have to delay our departure for Key West and Cuba due to late deliveries of some needed parts and a few hassles here and there. Never mind, as long as we can leave before mid-february.
Hope you are all well. Send us your news!
Love
Mike and Catherine
