New development here in Vanuatu! Our friend Mark has unexpectedly arrived and will stay onboard until we get to Australia. We met him and Ali in Fiji and got on really well together. Since then, they sadly split up so Mark asked if he could join us. We are very happy to welcome him onboard. Below a photo of our first dinner together on the day he arrived at the marina’s restaurant eating a delicious crayfish. The local school organised a Journee Culturelle last Friday with traditional dances. Our friend Michael from ASTARTE shared his pictures with us. See below. Stunning. Yesterday we went for lunch at a very trendy place, Le Fare, with our friends David and Suzy. David is Scottish, we met him when we were in the Bay of Islands in New Zealand and Suzy is a Kiwi. They sail on a Bowman 48 called SHANDON, ex AQUALUNG. Some of you might remember the name... Such a small world! The weather is not brilliant today. It has been raining all morning. We have decided to stay put for another week and sail to Noumea next week when the wind is supposed to finally change to Easterlies then South Easterlies. Will keep you posted.
