Fai Tira in Tresco Scilly
Islands 49:57:54N 6:20.80W
Someone mentioned about
going to Tesco but I reckoned Tresco would be better. I was right. We set off from St Mary’s at 1300 hours
and had a nice motor sail around the mayhem of rocks that makes up the Scilly
Isles. The weather forecast for the
next 24 hours is force 6 to 7 gusting 8.
We have been rocked and rolled for the last 2 days at St Mary’s so the
haven that exists between Bryher and Tesco (Tresco) seemed a good choice for a
peaceful night. We picked up a
mooring expertly lassoed by John and rowed across to Bryher and was surprised to
see a camp site on such a tiny island.

in the distance. Sorry Tresco.
We had a pleasant walk
around the Island which eventually saw us ending up in the hotel bar. On quick one then back to Fai Tira via a
local produce stall where we bought lots of fresh veg for our Biscay
crossing.
John cooked up a
fantastic stir fry which went down a treat. We have decided that John is now going
to be the Chief Chef and I am going to be the toilet operative.
(CLEANER).
We have now battened down
the hatches for the impending storm and hope we get a good nights
sleep.
Bye for now.
Pete and
John.
