Crew gathering on board in Tenerife Marina St Miguel. Drinks for sailing friends and land lubber friends alike tonight as we are tied up riding out a Force 9 severe gale. Good to get those kind of breezes out of the way now before we set off on Sunday. Steve and Janet have done sterling work provisioning the boat and managed to purchase just one more bottle of G&T today ( just in case)  Neil and Jane arrive tomorrow and then last minute tweaking, polishing and filling up before an earlyish night and an earlyish departure.

Cape Verde is 810 miles in a SSW direction ( 217 degrees) so we hope for a 5+ day trip. Then a couple of evenings and a day on Mindinao, listening to good African- South American music before heading roughly west to Barbados
