It is now our 4th day at sea (and 3rd night last night).  The wind came last night and so did the rain but we did not mind.
We were getting a bit worried last night that we would run low on fuel before we got to the wind so a bit of a relief now and hopefully the freezer can stay on..

We tried a new combination of part bimmini and the sprayhood up which kept the cockpit mostly dry which meant that no water was leaking onto my bed underneath the cockpit..
Unfortunately as we were healing to starboard, the rainwater leaking by the mast poured onto the lower dinette seating area (there is always something new..)
There were a few flying fish on the deck but they are rather small so not worth contemplaing frying them !!
We are still at the back of the fleet apart from the 3 boats which turned back and we don't know if they have set off again.
We were last to leave with Aqualuna 4 days behind most of the boats and Aqualuna are much faster than we are so they have left us well behind.
We also are making this a bit further by going pretty much south to start with as we thought it was a better bet for getting wind earlier - well we have it now..

It is now sunny but a bit overcast.  there was the most wonderful rainbow first thing when the rain stopped.
