Saturday 4th July 2015

We awoke to the gentle hum of aircraft heading into land at Barcelona Airport. I then had an enormous walk to the office to pay the bill, should have taken the bike but it wasn’t obvious that one had to walk around the boatyard!   The day was spent motoring against a light headwind along the coast and past Barcelona City.  At the entrance to the commercial docks we got put about by Costa Fantasia, a gigantic cruise liner who wanted the ocean to himself.  Further north we could see the racing boats taking part in the ORC Worlds running down towards us under spinnaker, and it wasn’t long before we were dodging them!

Eventually we put into Puerto de el Masnou (41:28.57N, 002:18.85E) going alongside just up from the fuel pontoon and refusing to move. After my poor efforts yesterday, Jacqui had had enough of trying to go stern too.
