Escapade
Tue 3 Nov 2015 11:36
So, we arrived to rain and quite a swell in the marina overnight which made for a poor nights sleep as the lines were snapping and the neighbouring boats all bouncing around. The following morning the local radio station advised us to stay indoors as we had high winds and terrible weather on the way! We went for big Sunday lunch and back to the yacht to chill. We then had 60knts of wind, torrential rain, thunder and lightening. Apparently 2 months rain fell in just 2 hours, with flooding and scaffolding bought down, we took some great video footage at the end of the pier.

Yesterday was a different story, we unfolded the new Bromptons and went exploring. We rode across the runway, through customs and into Spain. Had lunch in the Old Square and checked out the Alcaidesa Marina with a view to leaving Escapade there for the summer rather than having the 'Bay of Certain Death' to content with next year and of course we would be 1100 miles further south to begin with…anyway, its a consideration……

Hope to set sail on Friday bound for Puerto Santos as weather forecast looks favourable.

will keep you posted.
