We are now into week two in Corfu, Some things
have gone well and some are not so lucky. We do have a new wind
generator that seems to work great... when there is wind... or
storms... The water maker is installed but does not produce fresh
water at all, I think there is air in the system but we don't know
how to get it out. We have no backstay for the boat at the moment as
the riggers have taken it down to convert it into an insulated
backstay to use as our antenna for the short wave radio, hopefully
tomorrow it will be reinstalled. We have added new haylards for the
new Genoa sail. Tom has scrubbed, cut waxed and polished the boat
from stem to stern and it looks great. Lots of little things have
been fixed and we have purchased lots of equipment in preparation for
the Atlantic crossing. We went out on Sunday for a shake down cruise
and everything seems to work ok... We have not been able to get an
autopilot installed here so we may have to do that either in Italy or
Gibraltar. We hope to be out of here by noon on Thursday and then
head to Otranto in Italy arriving there Saturday... Take care to all
