As always, we had a great time in the Saintes, mainly from a culinary point of view. Dinner at our favourite Au Bon Vivre was the lobster special and something to behold - sadly no photos at the moment. This was followed by Lunch at La Saladerie and then the juice bar. Some decent food shopping and generally relaxing in this beautiful group of Islands. We were planning to set of on Monday, but the skipper had a man cold and we delayed until Tuesday. We had a decent sail to Pigeon Island anchorage but the skipper was unhappy with the onshore wind so we carried on to Deshais. Another change of plan and we set off early on Wednesday in perfect conditions to Antigua. A timely arrival meant we could clear Customs in time to return to the Jolly Harbour anchorage. Usually idyllic, we were woken up at 0300 by a nasty southwest swell and the next day we moved to a mooring in the lagoon.

A pleasant surprise was to meet up with  Tim Barker on Mina2, but his story was rather unfortunate. After a flood last year, Mina2 had an engine seize up when she was launched last week and Tim was depressed enough to enjoy dinner with us at Mellinis

We will head round to Falmouth Harbour tomorrow to enjoy Shirley Heights and see the start of the Caribbean 600 on Monday
