I think the wind gods must have read my comments about the wind yesterday because shortly after I post the blog they started to turn the wind knob downand by evening there was very little wind and we drifted about all night, slopping about in the wasves left behind by the strong winds but no power to sail through them.  By mornining the sea had settled and a nice gentle breeze set in from the south, wonderful, and as the morning moved on the sky cleared andit became a beautiful sunny day. I got a few things dried out before it started to pick up again, I also took the opportunity to chage to my smaller No 3 blade jib which I hoped would be better. I didn't have my full rig up long, by lunch time I had taken in my first reef and now, tea time, I've got all three reefs in and considering roling the jibup a bit,  Looking at the meter it showing a steady 20 knots of true wind speed and we are fair bouncing up and down as you can probably tell by my typing?

However as the wind gods hav3e obviously turn the wind knob up again they have left the sun knob on because this wind is coming out of a clear blue sky! The forecast says I'm heading into a low pressure system and the wind is likely to spike up a bit more yet.

With that happy thought I'll leave you.
