The coronasituation is more under control in Norway than in Sweden, not to mention Spain,Italy and the U.K. If that´s good or bad we will probably know sometime in the future.
Nevertheless since all plans regarding skiing on Senja and the Lyngen Alps have been cancelled due to closed borders and travelban I decided to head north singlehanded.
Preliminary the route will be over Senja (140Nm) and allthough all facilities there are closed I will try to head up in the mountains for some skiing. Then further to Tromsö for refueling 5.000liters of diesel and if time and weather is with me I will head further to the Lyngen Alps. With more than 3mtrs of snow circumstances for skiing there must be good allthough risk of avalanches is increased. The locals will be good advisers.
Leaving Lofoten in sunshine (first time in 6 weeks),off duty and singlehanded is such a feeling of freedom. In these times with people locked in for months in quarantine it comes with a feeling of guilt though.
