Back on track bound for Vega

Returning Kristiansund late evening July 12 after two intense workingweeks with 70-80hrs work/week (loads of tourists in Lofoten) I had to start my return to Dora Mac with troubleshooting. Leaving the boat on shorepower the connection once failed because of flooding an adapter in heavy rain. Fortunately that was discovered by the harbourmaster and rectified but upon my return,shorepower had failed again and engine+genset batteries were all dead.
After contact with the harbourmaster we had it all sorted out and allthough the Victron 15A charger managed to charge all the 12V batteries up again most likely these AGM batteries got a shortened lifespan due to sulfatation. In this guestharbour belonging to Kristiansund boatclub at "Vedkaia" they had three harbourmasters during my period there. Two of them were very nice but the last of them working blamed Dora Mac for all their electrical problems and had a very bad tone. For that reason and for their current mess with the shore power system,this guest harbour should be avoided.
After arrival of new crew ,July 17 we headed for the island of Vega and the Helgeland coast (204Nm). Passing though protected waters in Trondheimsleia,the rest of the passage was in open sea but in very calm circumstances.
In the evening July 18 we approached the island of Vega coming in to protection of the Helgeland archipelago. Vega is supposed to be a spectacular island and is on the Unesco world heritage list.
On the pictures approaching Vega it´s some hours before midnight with daylight. Being close to the polar circle heading further north the sun will not set below the horizon.
We will spend some days on Vega bicycling and walking the mountains.
