We left La Coruna 09.00 sharp and came out to a North Atlantic with 25knots of downwind on our port beam and 6-9 feet seas, quite uncomfortable to start with.
After launch of paravanes and a furled out headsail circumstances became reasonable. In the afternoon we were joined by dolphins and also spent an hour fighting with seagulls who wanted to use the solarcellpanel as a convenient restingplace. Needless to say that was a fight we had to win.
Speed over ground is currently 5.8kts meaning we must have some countercurrent but E.T.A in Camaret sur Mer remains Tuesday evening.
