Another clue to faulty fuel polishing

The day was spent opening the cruisetank for cleaning. Ascar helped us to empty the tank and it was then cleaned.
When inspecting the tank we found the 2 pipes on the suction side to be of the same length which is wrong.
It means that the suction pipe for polishing is not reaching down in the well constructed for debris to sediment and gather. Randal told me one of the workers at Seahorse Marine had made a mistake and cut the pipe to similar length as the suction pipe for the engine but that he was told it had been rectified. Obviously it was not . We connected a fuelhose to the shortened pipe so that now it reaches down in the well and will bring contaminated fuel properly for polishing .
