Coming back to Dora Mac and all was allright onboard. Having found the right size of papertowels for the GCF fuel polishfilter at Tesco supermarket in Scotland, I again changed the GCF polish filter, now assembled with gaskets inside and outside of plastic rings to avoid fuel by passing the filter. With lot´s of swell inside the bay of PortoPetro I took my chance to polish the cruisetank again (swell making Dora Mac roll and move the fuel with it´s sludge inside the tank hopefully collected by the polishfilter during the procedure....)
Fredrik my old friend from Stockholm arrived from Palma the day after and we had a days rest before heading out on the Med again, heading north for Menorca.
Fredrik was on Menorca several years ago bicycling and recommended Ciutadella in the southwest bay of Menorca and located 50Nm NNE we arrived slightly before sunset.
Once out at sea we were encountered by old swell on the beam making Dora Mac roll up to +-20 degrees and I took the opportunity to polish all fuel in the cruisetank again (3hrs). Halfway to Ciutadella I noticed the Racor 1 filter had a reading on it´s gauge that had gone from 3 to 4,5 (just within the limit). Subsequntly I had to switch over to Racor 2 and realising we might still have a fuel issue with contaminated fuel in the cruisetank.....
Coming in to Ciutadella is a beautiful ride going through a narrow "fjord" ending just up front the restaurants. The town itself is very charmy, old Spanish style with lot´s of people perhaps tourists, but the vast majority are Spanish.
