We had a soft ride from Paros down to Ios with only 10-12knots of downwind and no swell. The first night we anchored in Manganari Bay (a long beach on the south end of the island) to be able to wake up in the morning and go for a long swim. The next day we relocated to Ios port and moored stern to with mooring line.
This harbour is one of the moore protected in the Cyclades but not as charmy as Náousa and Amorgos.
On Ios there are over 300 churches, all of them kept in a good shape and the one on the picture is overlooking Ormos Iou leeding in to Port Ios. Walking around in the Greek harbours is a pleasure with all small charmy houses and small fishing boats (still active bringing sea food to all tavernas scattered around the harbours).
