The Dutch canalsystem is very impressive. It seems to be a very important
part of the country´s infrastructure, and a large part of the living areas
are built around the canals.Lot´s of houses are built along the canals and
all with parkingplaces for their boats.
It took us 12 hrs from Vlissingen to Willmstadt where we spent 1
night.Next day it took us 8 hours up to Gouda where we spent the next
night. To be able to reach Amsterdam on the following day,we had to enter
the first lock at 6 o´clock in heavy rain and very cold weather.
