We had an uneventful trip from Benalmadena to Sotogrande 45 miles, 7hrs. Since this was our last night in Spain, we decided to celebrate, and after a beer or 2 on board, took a taxi to La Duquesa just 5 miles up the coast, and had a few more beers and a delicious Chinese meal – we spent the evening negotiating with a “looky looky” man, but, alas, we are not the proud owners of four luminous Mohican wigs.  But Jimmy B did get two Rolex for €20

We awoke to a stiff breeze blowing us onto the quay, being sandwiched between a pontoon and large catamaran, had to enlist the Marina’s help to tow us off sideways.

Little wind, but plenty of rain for the trip to Gibraltar, just 16 miles away. We filled up with 167 litres of diesel at 60p per litre, no tax here, whoopee !!

Many thanks to the crew of Pete, Chris and Jimmy B, for getting us here.

My new crew arrives Friday 17th for the non - stop 4 day leg to the Canaries.
