Panama Canal Day two

We stayed overnight in Gatun lake rafted up with all other sailboats and tied to a mooring buoy.   Not much sleep unfortunately.  New advisor full of energy and good humour came on board and we continued.  There is a long canal to go before we arrive to the locks on the Pacific side.  Now it is only down, down.  We can see the Pacific ocean below.  It all looks so easy but in fact things are very intense.  Currents are strong as rivers.  Another boat lost their transmission and ended up sideways.

As soon as the last gate half opened we took our lines and jumped full ahead between those gates.  Looked like we were sort of surfing on top of the water rushing into the Pacific.  Panama city, here we come!
