42:07.17N 08:50.67W Tuesday - Leixoes marina is a great refuge but it’s sandwiched between the container port and an oil refinery so it’s not the prettiest spot and  we’re pleased to be on our way again.  We’ve planned a short 35NM hop to Viana do Castello because the forecast is light southerly winds and rain from 0830.  However neither wind nor rain has materialised by 1100 so we decide to press on to Baiona, making a total hop of 64NM.  We have to make a detour round this giant wind turbine on the way and then it’s time to say goodbye to Portugal and hello again to Spain as we change courtesy flags.  Wind and rain come together just after lunch and the southerly quickly makes the sea totally confused and difficult to keep a course.  The wind keeps rising and by the time we round the headland for Baiona we’ve a third reef in the main and still spilling wind to keep on track between the mainland and the treacherous-looking rocks out to seaward.  Still, we’re in and tied up by 7pm even allowing for putting the clock forward an hour again, and I remember to say gracias, instead of obrigado, to the marina man helping us tie up.
