This is the picture out into the bay on Saturday – windless with zero swell, perfect for lifting the boat out of the water.  So, what’s the problem?  Sheppards don’t work weekends and this is Monday’s weather come in early.  So Monday’s lift out is cancelled and we’re now hoping for Thursday.  I’m reminded that Gibraltar is one hour ahead of the UK but, as people keep telling me, we work on GMT here – Gibraltar Maybe Time.  So, the boat may come out on Thursday, the liferaft is supposed to be picked up for servicing ‘sometime’ next week and the EPIRB (emergency beacon) should have been collected yesterday.  Time to put the kettle on methinks ….
