Funny ol' week

We’ve had a strange few days.  One day it’s blue sky, T shirt and shorts weather, and we’re enjoying ‘messing about’ on the boat – putting up the main sail and seeing how the reefing lines work, then taking the sail off onto the jetty and folding it in its bag.  Then the same thing with the headsail, remove the signal halyards and the sailbag so we’re all ready to go into the yard when the call comes.  The next day it’s blowy and blustery and huddle down time.  Still, we’re making progress all the time and the engine’s enjoyed an overhaul and received a mainly clean bill of health – we now have to go to sea and give her a good workout and see whether the injectors need cleaning or are just sluggish through standing.  We’ve also had yet another sort-out and now have several ‘UK’ boxes – stuff we want to keep but won’t need on the voyage home.  They’re tucked away at the back of the spare cabin and hopefully will now just gather dust til we get home.
