Never a dull moment on this pontoon – last week Molly, an excitable spaniel on the next door but one boat, bounced off the boat for her late night walk, bounced on the pontoon and fell in the water.  She was duly rescued unhurt although apparently she shook for 2 hours back on board.  Then this week a man came back late at night to his boat 4 doors along from us and also fell in.  Luckily there were other people with him who called the police and ambulance but he was unconscious by the time they got him out and is now recovering in hospital.  We surprisingly slept through both events so only heard about them the next morning.

On a brighter note, we took advantage of a break in the Levanter cloud to walk another path up the Rock to the Pillars of Hercules.  There’s a beautiful view out over the Straits from here and then an interesting walk along the higher level with surprising military finds along the way and monkeys watching the world go by.
