Crossing hemispheres, for the first time for some. Wania and Thomas were baptized by Neptune’s ritual protector, Captain Lars.
The infamous Doldrums have been gentle to us and provided a nice SE 20kts winds for our crossing  We had two great sailing days and haven’t motored much after the first two nights.
Within 48 hours we will reach Kanton Island in the Republic of Kiribati, the only habitated island of the Phoenix group with about 45 population, birds, a kaleidoscope of tropical fishes and rats.  Yes rats !!!!!
After a few days rest we plan for another 7 day 700nm crossing to the Gilbert group on the west side of Kiribati and work our selves north hopping attols until MArshall ISlands, for crew change around 21st of July.
This part of the Pacific is very desolated and isolated, nothing in the horizon, nor planes in the night sky. but the stars are amazing
