We made it to this harbour on the west side of Lanai after a long 60nm struggling against we wind, current, light or hard winds from the nose and inexplainable 180° wind shifts.
This was a comercial harbour build by the Dole company to transport the harvested pineapples to be processed in Honolulu.
This business is history in the island and local production only supplies the resorts and local population.
Not much to see here. Some great beaches such as the Shipwreck beach on the NE side and the Cat Sanctuary, a NPO that rescues cats and protects local birds.
