Monday 6 July Mast up, sails on, washdown – ready for sea again

Crane driver is solo (no HM assistant?) but very experienced, tho no English. With help of Frenchy waiting to lower his get all up and secure by0930. Back to same pontoon berth to rig sails and get ready for sea. Sad farewell to Jason`s fender which has done sterling work keeping bow out thro canal. (It`s horribly sticky now after three years of Med heat and sun.) D`fly looks like a proper yacht again. Meanwhile Jules heads off on Brompton and tags on to private party visiting nearby vineyard – samples a 1990 red, for 90 euros a bottle! Jane stocks up from Carrefour.
