Tuesday 30 September Further N with more fine weather and super views of
mountainous coast to pretty harbour of Scario

Depart Cetraro 0510 Arrive Scario 1415  39nm M5.5  S3.5

Cloudless day; crystal clear views – variable wind, as yesterday!

Skip gets all togged up again. Same routine. Full sails making 4+knts with
SE land breeze. The pattern seems to be land breeze first thing, dying, then
W seabreeze early afternoon till sun loses it`s power. Land breeze fades,
light patches then nothing late morning. Today a SW afternoon breeze 1315
giving 4 and occasional 5knts broad reach.  Have to move chartplotter on
from “Adriatic” to “Tyrrhenian Sea”. Arrive pretty Scario. Lots of space.
Laid lines again. Pilot says need to book a space way ahead in summer.
Friendly lady in Marc Bleu coop office run berths with elect but no water
(has been turned off)and no loos/showers. 40euros. High soft mountains to N
and E, 1224m just 3nm away, others 1461m, 1783m and 1541m, so quite tall.
Bells every 1/4hr from church – bearable. Harbour wall recently built up
another 5ft – must get some big storm waves as massive fetch to W. Nice sm.
Beer in fairly empty waterside bar – expensive. This is Italy.
