We went out for dinner last night, anywhere any place, we saw a Chinese and
went in to order, looked very nice. We asked the waiter what the name of the
restaurant was, he was quite rude, no need for that so we walked out. There
is a picture of it here for the unwary.

The weather has been unsettled these last few days, so we've not ventured too
far. Apparently on Sunday, one third of the annual rainfall fell. We had to bail
our dingy out. One of the larger motorboats sunk. I have a picture I'll show it
next time. I don't think it was just the rain, probably the owner of the boat was
not too interested in it, maybe had a leak (the boat), automatic bilge pumps not
working etc and the rain tipped the balance.

We've had a quiet day today, ordered a spinnaker type pole from the
chandlers, then walked into the old part off town, it was a long way, 3
miles I reckon, but it seemed like 30! The shops here are very good,
something for everyone, there is even a cultural side of the town that looks
very interesting, we haven't visited the monuments yet but if we get time we
will. So on this blog I'm just placing some photos of family and some friends.

Old friends Bob and Ann with their daughter Jenny, when they were last in Spain
with us. Our daughter (can't think of her name for the minute) with Mike of Menorca
Cruising, (hanging on for dear life while he lets (its Susie) Susie take the wheel during
her RYA Day Skipper. We have a collage of Yvonne and Susie in their 'Christians' costumes.
Far from either of them being Christians but they take part in the Moors and Cristianos
Fiesta in our home town of Moraira each year. This year Yvonne had the highly
privileged position (especially for a foreigner) of being the Queen. Hi to all in the
'Fila Muladies' of Moraira. There is a collageof James, Rob and Sooze. Susie can
also be seen with her best friend Kerry, I knowshe keeps an eye on the diary- Hi Kel!

That's all today, we'll take a tour of the Marina here at Las Palmas next time.
