Good Morning All

Hope it's not too chilly back home.

Well we have 306 miles to go and unfortuntely the wind is dying on us. Just about making 6 knots over the ground. Hopefully we shall be arriving at Hiva Oa early hours on Thursday. Chantelle is still swinging her rear end around so it feels like we are making no progress at all, just sideways movement.
In the absence of any "action" on the Pacific, attached is an action shot of a Pelican coming into land on Galapagos. Although they appear rather graceless in landing they are in fact very effective plunge divers. They are funny characters to watch. They would congregate around the fish market at Pelican Bay on Puerto Ayora for all the off cuts, which they would cram into their pouch at seemingly very odd and painful angles. You could see feet and beaks lodging sideways in their necks. How they ever managed to swallow is a mystery!

It's very humid here today so perhaps we can expect some more rain later. We have had a few light showers over night which are lovely and refreshing.

Hope the snow has cleared up back home and spring is poking it's head through! At the moment the time difference between UK and here is 8 hours however this will change by a further 1 hour when we reach Marquesas. So back in UK you will be 9 hours ahead of us - (nine hours older?!)

Well it's that time again - helming stint for Kim - but no cooking today Hoooooraaaah!

Take care all.
Until Hiva Oa
