This is a wide canal but boy when you see a container ship coming the other way, you wonder just how you are going to squeeze past. In fact it is no problem at all but each time you see one a bit of panic sets in! and there have been lots of big ships, have never been so close, a daunting experience. Anyway we are safely tucked up in the "lay by", actually a few pontoons with basic on shore facilities but our plans for a leisurely transit took a blow when we discovered you can only stay in each lay by for 1 night so no exploring of Rendsburg tomorrow, we will be on the go.
