Hello Everybody,

I don’t want to bore you with my blogs, so will make this short. Yesterday was a disappointing day for us as our good mates Gary and Lee decided to return to...well, who knows? But they turned around anyway and headed East from where we had come.

They decided that they had run out of time to make it to their home in the NW Pacific before the passage would be closed. They are only 2 on board (their recent additional 2 crew decamped to another boat that may ne headed to the UK). It’s tough here for a crew of 2.  I asked them where they were headed to, and Lee replied:  “I think we will have to turn a 2 year cruise into a 3 year cruise”. Yeah I like it. Go Moloda – fair winds my friends.

So in our historic anchorage at Erebus and Terror Bay near Beechy Island, there is just the Aussies (with E) and us. The banter and friendly abuse between us is remorseless. But they are great company and there is safety (we hope) in numbers.

Gotta go now as the skipper is waiting to use the computer to check the weather forecast.

Best Wishes to All
Pete
ps shall I tell you about E next time?
